
Abel Mulugheta
Abel Mulugheta’s policy journey began over a decade ago, where he worked in the Dallas district office of a senior member of the United States Congress. Upon earning his law degree, Abel embarked on a career in the Texas Legislature, ascending through every role within a legislative office, ultimately serving as Chief of Staff and General Counsel for a chairman in the Texas House of Representatives.
During his tenure in the state capitol, Abel led the effort on many significant measures: from bipartisan efforts to upgrade the state's natural gas infrastructure, to legislation that remitted billions in tax dollars back to local communities, stimulating economic development across Texas communities.
Abel's experience also extends into the private sector, where he served as Chief of Staff of a professional sports league. As a strategic advisor to the executive team, Abel offered unique perspectives and challenged conventional ideas to drive innovation and growth within the organization.
Throughout his career, Abel has consistently delivered results by leveraging his deep understanding of policy and process, and plugging into the vast network of relationships he has established within government. Known by many as a straight shooter, he continues to be a trusted partner for clients seeking impactful advocacy and sound guidance.
Abel holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the SMU Dedman School of Law. He splits his time between his hometown of Dallas, and Austin, TX.
